A Second and a Third Notifier can be used in WhosOff for information purposes relating to Leave Requests. They are copied in on the Staff Members leave requests, but cannot take action on them.
In order to set someone up as a Notifier they first need to be set as an Approver or Super User (we would advise the number of Super Users should be kept to a minimum) . Although they are setup as an Approver they do not need to be set to Approve for anyone.
You can set up a Notifier by following the below;
- After signing in click 'Administration'
- click 'Manage Staff'
- click on the relevant Staff Members 'Name'
- On the left hand side of the page click 'Staff Profile'
- Then under 'User Permissions' change the 'User type' to either 'Approver 'or 'Super User'.
- Click 'Save Account Details'
Once you have setup your Notifier you can apply them to a staff member by;
- After signing in click 'Administration'
- Click 'Manage Staff'
- Click on the relevant Staff Members 'Name'
- Then on the left click 'Staff Profile'
- Looking on the right hand side of the screen under the heading 'Department / Approvers / Notifiers' click the '2nd' or '3rd Notifier' drop-down box.
- Now select the relevant 'Notifier'.
- click 'Save Account Details'
